Vermont Lions ClubVermont Lions Club is located in Vermont, Victoria, Australia, an eastern suburb of Melbourne, approximately 20km from the CBD. Our club was chartered in 1973, and we currently have about 30 members. We are part of Lions District V5, which comprises 66 clubs spread over a wide geographical area from south east of Melbourne to north eastern Victoria. This District in turn is part of the Lions world-wide organisation with over 1.3 million members who are involved in helping those in the community less fortunate than themselves. We are dedicated to serving our local community by raising money and donating our time to carry out and support a wide range of community projects We are the LionsSome of the local groups and causes that Vermont Lions help financially are:
• Lions Eye Health Program. We are part of the Lions organisation of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth and families and individuals, provide help in time of disaster and much more. Join us in making our communities and the world better places to live. Becoming a LionLions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as in communities worldwide.
